Extending the Perimeter
The advent of “Secure Access Service Edge” is incontestably the most important trend in the WAN and Cloud networking realm. The motivation that drove Gartner to create the SASE framework was the conviction that there needs to be a better way to secure the WAN edge.Indeed, with businesses embracing the cloud, IoT becoming prevalent, users going mobile, and 5G applications requiring responsiveness – it is not possible to provide security with traditional or cloud models only.
The key objective of the SASE framework is, therefore, to meet both the networking and security requirements of the individual remote site or user.
But, how SASE is deployed – which of the framework services are deployed for a given site or user and how they are deployed - should be based on the individual customer’s requirements, not by a predetermined methodology.
Agenda: the Third Wave of Cloud Security
The Gartner defined the SASE framework. But what are the real concepts of SASE? Is a standard for managed services possible? Where do other hot technologies like SD-WAN, Zero-Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) fit in? Are older technologies like VPNs, Secure Web Gateways (SWG), and firewalls dead? The conference brings detailed responses to these questions by gathering renowned technical experts, analysts and SPs/OTTs representants.
The Sessions: SASE Basics, Analyst Reports, Vendors Ecosystem, Use cases, SPs & OTTs Implementations
SASE certainly represents a bright future for infrastructure and security leaders but how do they position their offering? How do they connect and protect branch offices by safeguarding usage of data everywhere? How do they avoid the risks and complexities of VPNs by continuously monitoring user risk? The agenda details the different approaches proposed on the market. Sessions also address use cases and implementations. SPs, OTTs and enterprises demonstrate how the SASE framework can be achieved by focusing on the customer’s needs and requirements.
Particular emphasis is placed on how service providers can bring to market a SASE solution that leverages their existing infrastructure.
Special Focus on ZTNA
A specific session and a panel will address in particular the Zero Trust Network Access concept. It will be demonstrated how, unlike network-centric solutions like VPNs or FWs, ZTNA takes a fundamentally different approach to securing access to internal applications.General Debate: What is SASE - an Architecture or a Product?
SASE is considered as the best path forward for enterprises. But is it?What problem is SASE aiming to solve? Is it a solution looking for a problem, or is there truly a use case that only SASE can address?
Renowned experts respond these questions during an exciting debate.
