Carsten Rossenhoevel,
Managing Director, EANTC

Carsten Rossenhövel is Managing Director and co-founder of EANTC AG (European Advanced Networking Test Center). Based in Berlin, Germany, EANTC is a test lab specializing in telecommunication technologies and offers vendor-neutral network testing services for manufacturers, service providers, and enterprise customers.   In this role Carsten has over 20 years of experience in telecommunication networks testing and is responsible for EANTC's business development and marketing. His technical areas of expertise include Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and transport network solutions (MPLS; SDN; Carrier Ethernet).   Before joining EANTC, he studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin and worked as a Software Engineer as well as Consultant in the financial services and media sector. In 1999 he founded EANTC together with Gabriele Schrenk and Herbert Almus.

Claudio believes that Tata Communications’ next-generation hybrid services, that leverage the MPLS, Internet, SD-WAN and NFV, are essential for enabling this transformation.   Claudio is also an active and certified member of MEF and a great advocate of Lifecycle Service Orchestration which brings dynamic flexibility and agility to network services.   Prior to joining Tata Communications, Claudio served in various product related roles for Level 3, Easynet, Interoute and Cable & Wireless, bringing Internet and WAN services to the international Enterprise and Wholesale market.


Hector Avalos, VP Strategy & Business Development, Versa Networks

Hector Avalos has over 25 years of experience in the computing, networking and telecommunications industries. He currently holds the position of VP EMEA Sales and Business Development at Versa Networks. His current activities are focused on “virtual CPE”, “Software-Defined WAN” and “Software-Defined Security” solutions for Service Providers and Enterprises.   Prior to Versa, Hector worked 4 years at Ericsson as “Head of technology, architectures, solutions and strategy”, and 9 years at Juniper Networks as “Technical Director”.   Hector possesses a BSc. in Computing Science from ‘UDLA’ Mexico.


Jimmy Ehrbar,

Jimmy Ehrbar joined Colt in 2001 where he firsts had various roles in Network Engineering and then contributed to the development of the IMS VoIP platform and services. In 2009 he joined the Architecture and Innovation team which focused on Colt’s long-term network strategy and architecture.  Since 2016 he’s leading this team which is now part of Colt’s On-Demand organisation looking after the NFV and SDN strategy and development. Before Colt Jimmy lead various network engineering teams at international insurance companies.

Director of Marketing for Managed Service Solutions, Juniper Networks

Steven Veneman is the Director of Marketing for Managed Service Solutions at Juniper Networks with product marketing responsibility for Juniper’s NFV MANO based solutions, which include Contrail SD-WAN, Cloud CPE, Universal CPE, the NFX Series Network Services Platform and Contrail Service Orchestration. Steve has been in the communications industry for over 20 years, focusing on the design, development, marketing, and sale of cable infrastructure equipment, optical semiconductors, embedded operating systems, network systems, and network systems equipment.  Prior to joining Juniper Networks Steve held positions in engineering, product management, product marketing and business development at Wind River, Lucent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Scientific Atlanta. Steve is named in three patents, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Math from the University of Hartford, and is a member of Eta Kappa Nu.
